After watching Mystery's show (which I really liked untill I found out they used multiple actors), I started trying out approaching girls (in the most easy club in our town ) and using very standard pick-up lines. I succeeded most of the times (most easy club in town) but never got really pretty girls (>hb7). Then I've had a relationship for about 1.5 year wich ended couple weeks ago. One day after breaking up, I visited this forum again and decided to get starting again and improve myself in the field.

I never felt really comfortable using standard lines and Mystery's method which, in my eyes, is a method which asks you to pretend to be someone who you not truely are. How many times Mystery said (approaching, mid-game, closing):'You can say something like ....' in he's episodes. First of all it just doesn't feel right using all these standard-lines. Second, I'm most of the times drunk when I go out, so I have problems remembering these lines . To make a long story short, I'm very glad I discovered natural gaming.

Now my problem... "I'm overall confident, but when it comes to approaching/talking to a girl..." I read like 100 postst with the conclusion: "Confidence is the key to succes". I have many friends (in relation with an average boy) which I really care about (also a couple girls) and it feels like they also really care about me. I also have many connections (not really friends, but people who I say "Hi!") to when I go party. I also just graduated and got awarded with a Master degree in industrial sciences.... My point beeing: I feel overall confident but still have much problems with approaching girls and talking to them... When I'm having fun in the club I look to a girl, think about approaching her, and most of the times freeze out... That's because of the fear of rejection also because of I'm afraid my friends will see me getting rejected...

Approach Anxiety, welcome to the club.

How do you deal with it? You get over it.

Last night I was at the gym and noticed a girl on the elliptical, I knew I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't know how to approach. So, while I'm working out I'm thinking about how to do it. I got my chance when she walked over to the space were people store their gear.

I blanked out.

Before I knew it I was walking into that direction, and with no plan or canned openers I simply said "Hey, what's up?" as I acted like I needed to get something out of my bag. We got to talking a bit and as the conversation happened I thought to myself "that was pretty easy". The point is don't think, just do it. What's the worst that could happen? Your friends laugh? Maybe, but deep down inside they wish they had the balls to approach.

Approach anxiety never goes away, you'll just learn to love it.

When I realize my approach anxiety it challenges me to approach the girl. Otherwise I would be a loser.

If I ever catch myself saying "next time" or making excuses, the thought of me turning into someone who cannot talk to people scares me enough to go to talk to her.

Always be expanding your comfort zone.

Its the thrill of things that makes you want more.
