Hey guys, haven't been here in a couple months but thought I'd stop by and try and get some tips.

I'm a 2nd year University student and for one of my classes we often go to the gym to do different activities, fitness routines, etc. One day during class we had a 5 minute break between activities, and I started talking to a HB9 next to me. The convo didn't really escalate to anything personal, more just about the presentations we had to do for class. However she was smiling and laughing the entire convo.
The next day when I walked into a different class, our eyes happened to meet and I tried to give a bit of a smile but I was mid-sentence talking to a buddy. Then we had our other class together, I didn't have a chance to talk to her but at the end I made a joke around a few people and she was laughing and smiled at me.

Sorry for the longer story but thought I'd get you guys up to date. This all happened within 3 days last week. I want to number close her, but think I should maybe talk to her a couple more times before getting her digits. From what I can tell, she's a fairly shy girl. Also, I never have a chance to sit next to her in class b/c she always has 2 or 3 friends sitting around her. I also never see her in between classes which makes this even more complicated.

Any tips on how I can interact with her more often? I need to find a better setting to number close her as well, rather than in the gym in the middle of class.

Thanks in advance

once you catch her eyes and see her smiling (IOI), walk straight up to her. Sounds like thats going to be your chance. You dont need to have tons and tons of conversation before getting her number. Start a little convo and then get the number. You can say something like Hey you seem fun Im going to do (somehting fun this weekend) you should totally come along. Whats your number and ill shoot you a text about it. BAM.

Pull out your phone, hand it to her, and say just punch in your number and ill fill in the rest. Say it casually.

Good luck man!

yea spye is right on. theres no point in waiting to get her number, just stop her after class and talk to her in the hallway briefly inviting her out

if she is already smiling and laughin at most everything u say then i think it would be a good time to joke wit her and say hey if ur taking me out tonight u better text me and let me know what time ur picking me up. right then it could go two ways, either she could go along and say but i dont have ur number and then u exchange numbers or she could say nobody said we were going out or somithing along those lines and then u smile and say good thats a relief i was just kidding
