Most of us started off the game through the Mystery Method. We started running canned openers, canned routines, pre-written conversations, and even went as far as to use a preplanned method to build attraction in women. We started using a particular structure, analyzing which phase we were in, and using arranged kino-testing.
This worked very well. To be honest, it still works. But now with the release of the Vh1 show, and the publishing of the game, the theory and the lines seem very unoriginal. It's embarrassing to get caught to, because when most women think of the game, they think of men manipulating them, they think of being used. They assume the worst, and they associate us with rotten, scummy people.
Very few of the PUA's I know fit that category.
Whether you fit this description 100% or maybe only slightly, I can say one thing on the behalf of all of us - We all started to improve ourselves. Whether you were horrible with women, too shy, too awkward, lonely, or had some skills you simply wanted to improve, you started because you wanted to stand out, to be heard and appreciated for your originality and character.
So, in a strange twist, originality found itself expressed through canned material. Stange. Haha.
So what's wrong with canned material? What's wrong with follwing the A1 to S3 structure of a canned method like the Mystery Method?
And furthermore, how can you turn months, maybe years of habits of using routines into natural game?? Here's some ideas -
First of all, there isn't really anything "wrong" with canned material. In fact, as an illusionist, I LOVE routines like The Cube, Strawberry Fields, and Web of Life. They entertain, and DHV. A lot of the negs are okay as well, because they aren't a red flag like a canned opener is.
A canned opener, especially a famous one (Who Lies More, Jealous Girlfriend) has to be thrown out of your game. It has the highest probability of being recognized by the woman your trying to game, and she'll instantly turn off and call you out.
Routines
-Advantages
-You don't have to improvise
-They're usually field tested to be interesting and effective
-You can just pull one out whenever
-There is one that accomplishes anything you need for your game
-They're easy to find
-Disadvantages
-They're unnatural, and each require tons of practice to seem convincing
-It's likely that she might recognize one or more of your lines, especially if you open with it
-If you don't happen to have the right one for the right situation, it can kill a conversation
-You can get into a bad habit of using them, even if you don't want to.
-Everyone else knows them too
Some food for thought. Even with all of this said, the Mystery Method is still incredible. Everyone knows OF it. But not it's STRUCTURE, only the lines.
So if you're interested in going from canned to natural, you can follow the classic A1-Open, A2-F to M interest, A3 M-F Interest, C-1 Comfort, C-2 Day two, C-3 comfort in sex location, all the way to sex.
Using this structure, choose the part your most advanced in, even if it's only a small percentage of that phase, and keep the rest the same.
So instead of going up to a girl and asking an opinion, or using something you've seen, notice something about her and start that way. Something new, every time. Never use the same opener twice. Try doing this for a whole week. Challenge yourself, force yourself to be creative. Eventually, you'll learn HOW to notice things, it will become NATURAL for you to make an observation and initiate, or even continue a conversation. It makes more sense to spend your time learning how to do this then waste it learning a bunch of lines.
Now, you've made it to phase 2, capturing her interest. Here, use only TRUTHS about yourself. Use what you do. We all have talents, and we're all smarter than the average idiot. Now's the time to show her that. A few cold reads/ magic tricks are fine here, since it's an easy way to capture interest, but limit yourself to things that are true to you, not something you've read. I'm a singer for a rock band, so I tell a story about one of my rock adventures. Not some story Mystery has on Youtube.
When it's time to give her interest, use your tonality and body language more than you use lines. Build comfort with situational and depthful conversation instead of routines that build comfort. Again, challenge and force yourself to NOTICE things around you. It will eventually become a natural talent you'll acquire through practice.
If you go out, every night, and take out ONE section of the A1 structure and sub it out with working to be natural, you'll notice remarkable results.
Go out one night, and don't use canned openers. For a week. The next week, don't build her interests with fake stories. And so on.
Maybe your game won't be as good at first, maybe you'll find it very challenging.
But in the end, wouldn't you rather want her to fal for YOU and not just some MPUA speaking his words THROUGH you? The real you is going to come out eventually, so make the real you stronger, don't hide in a "shell" of routines.
If you only use routines, if your all canned, then YOU never changed. It's like, having an awesome set of armor to fight a battle with. Your unbeatable while your wearing it, but you may still be weak and vulnerable if you had to fight without it. Change at your core. Then the real you will be what you've always wanted to be. Try this-
Make a list of all the qualities you'd want your PUA self to have. Witty, Seductive, unresistable, edgy, strong, unyielding, original, charismatic. Analyze all of the qualities and WORK toward those. Make that your goal.
