What should you do if a girl keeps turning to you for emotional support?

I have been out with this girl a couple of times already (she asked me out). She is married, but says that she is having problems. She keeps turning to me for emotional support. I don't want to come across as a dick by ignoring her (and also I won't be able to see her that way) but I want to avoid the friend zone too. What should I do?

We got taught in psychology a few days ago about "assertive training" which is going against the social norms of being 'nice' and start being selfish for ourselves. I thought about taking this up as it would be great for my inner game, basically there has to come a time where you need to take yourself into account and say no. There's no real easy way out of it really.
