Your heart pounds and your adrenaline pumps when you approach someone you don't know. This dates back to millions of years of evolution; when we were in small groups and approaching someone else outside of our group could possibly mean death.

I have learned to embrace it. Most people acknowledge it as anxiety and nervousness. Next time you feel it, instead of giving it power to bring you down or make you scared, do the opposite. Smirk and enjoy the rush of it. It will not take the power away, but it will give it to you instead.

what molson said describes what 'nervousness' is. Once you are confident in yourself and your core it will go away, as you will be relaxed in meeting new people.

and molson, smirking at your own nervousness and anxiety is a defence mechanism, kind of like the wall of disregard you might be feeling now by reading a post disagreeing with you. lol seriously thoguh, i'm open to discussion, but from knowing what that feeling is it makes sense when you think about it.
