So valentines day is coming up and i was wondering what would be the best date ideas? Some tips would be nice :)

If it's a girl you've been dating for a while (long enough that it's reasonable you could have forgotten details from the beginning of your relationship), take her to the first place you guys ever went on a date to or the place you met (assuming neither of these places is somewhere you still regularly hang out).

If it's a girl you just met, do whatever you would normally do.

Gifts are to be given at the discretion of the giver.
