Flying back from Finland, they double booked my seat and this beautiful Air Hostess came over to sort the problem out, she asked me to sit a few rows back and wait for the rest of the passengers to board to see what they can do.
I went over to her at the back of the plane and with a big grin on my face said, " I'm a very angry customer and I want you to put me in Business Class".
Unfortunatly she couldn't, but she understood that I could be flirting and offered me a drink, so I accepted, and asked her to make me a cup of tea.
A few moments later I asked her name and introduced myself properly and tried to build a connection and noticing she wasn't too busy at the time, started telling her briefly about how amazing my holiday was, but didn't make it long winded.
I let her get to work and while she was handing out drinks to passengers I made eye contact with her from a distance and we smiled a few times at each other.
Then I went to sleep due to jetlag as I thought keeping up this act for another 3hrs might be a bit creepy, so I let her work.
When I woke up, we started chatting briefly and looked on her name badge while saying, what's your surname? Are you on Facebook? and she gave me her business card, I left it a few days then emailled her saying next time I'm in Finland you can show me the best places. blah blah blah......
Then she added me as a friend on Facebook!!! Couldn't believe it!
Great news is she flys back to London where I live every week, and stays in the hotel next to the airport, so I'm gonna try and arrange drinks in the hotel lounge.
Sounds great man, but friends on Facebook is hardly an honor or a privilege...I'm interested in seeing if something happens from the drinks, that's something worth mentioning.
