New school next week. Only five hours a week and one class, so no biggie really. I don't care about male friends, but I would love to boost my female repertoire.

I want to make sure I leave a good first impression for the ladies. Basically crank up my cockyness and dress nicer, hell, I think I'll even start wearing shirts.

Regarding general attitudes, are there any approaches that never fails? Tips, tricks, suggestions?

I'm new to this forum but I have been the new kid in town 5 years in a row. This year I want to learn to "pick up" but I still feel that having a friend base is very important. What I have done this year is get some guy friends who will get me into the parties. Tonight I am going to a party and my friend has already set up something with 3 different girls for me. Get some girl friends too but for making a friend base, you could possibly use them for pivots later on too. Exceptions can be made when girls come to you. About 3 years back in the second week I had a "girlfriend" but I realized I missing out on other hotter girls. Also for a while I was just friends with her friends, who were alright but not the people I would want to hang with that much.

Hey man,

Getting into a new school is exciting. You can basically open up almost ANYBODY with something like "Hey, I'm *name*, I'm the new guy in this school and I need a friendly girl to help me to know more about this school". It makes them giggle or at least "smile" and then see what happens. It works for me, so why don't you try it by yourself??

Walk in there like a rockstar and talk to any female that catches your eye, a pack of females preferably. You've actually got an excuse to meet them already you are the new dude and need friends basically, one mistake I made in high school was waiting too long to meet people. Even if your not the most confident dude on the planet, having approached everyone on your scary first day will make a great first impression that you can easily live up to.

Don't overdo the cockiness and crank up the humor and fun as much as you can you sound like you've got it all planned in your head anyways just make sure you do it cause you wont regret it.
