I read a few posts on how to deal with real life shit tests, but how do you deal with one from an online dating site message?

For example I ask a girl what her favorite thing is to do for fun...and she replies with a simple "I like to do a lot of things"

Is there a good way to deal with these or should I just take it as an indicator of disinterest and move on?

i don't think it's a shit test! she doesn't know you yet, she wont just start talking about her life out of the blue.
So you basically need some social proof, something that demonstrate higher values.
3 yrs ago i used to make a fake profile of a hot girl and post on my profile. till i got real hot girls doing it.I wouldn't recommend it though but you got the point.

i would usually use much more humor online. try
"so what are your favorite things to do for fun beside spending hours online? :p"
"... besides poking hot guys?" if she already poked you (facebook)
Use your imagination...

So if she replies with:
"I like to do alot of things"

you can respond with :
"Like what?"
"Just tell me the most interesting things then"
"You look like a *profession/talent*, are you?" if she says no then tell her you like girls that do that and are creative. are you creative? and she if she's trying to validate her self to you.
