Hi. Several weeks ago i got a number from a cute girl that works in a check cashing place. Being new to the game, I got a bit nervous with our age difference (I'm 40 and she's 25) when i came down to contacting her.
I sent her a text once on Monday and another that Friday. Then Memorial Day weekend came and went. I texted her again on Tuesday, asking her how weekend went. On Friday, I texted her I was going to this cool lounge and that she should come join me. She responded that she had been wanting to check out that lounge and would invite a friend to accompany her. I didn't know what make of that.
The night in question came and nothing. No contact. I still went out and had a good time and scored another number. The next day, i asked how her evening went and she said it was ok, nothing too exciting. I asked her why not and haven't received a reply since.
In retrospect, i think my lack of report and/or real communication sabotaged any chance in getting to know her better that weekend. In light of the weak texting communication, how can i recover from this? Would it be weird if I just called her at this point even thought i haven't done so? Thanks guys...

Sorry, but you fucked up. You texted her way too many times after not getting responses, your texts were boring, and no different than the usual AFC opener "what's up, how are you.
