Had a girl recently break it off with me, same usual reasons. Not too fussed other than learning where I went wrong. I think I fell in to being the 'nice' guy.

Basically, she was VERY insecure. When any of these came up like 'I don't like my arms', 'I don't like my body'(She's atleast a HB7), I would usually compliment that part of her she didn't like, 'I like your arms', 'Shut up your body is hot' etc. But looking back that now seems a little counterintuative. I think paying her a compliment after she said she doesn't like something about herself made me lose attraction.

Just looking for what other people do when this stuff comes up.

Er if she is insecure about her looks you complimenting it will not get her over it. It's her problem and her insecurity and you have nothing to do with it. I wouldn't compliment that part of her instead I would reassure her I love her the way she is.

Note: problems like this can come up early in the game too before you are really in a relationship. When I'm dealing with that I just do not give the slightest attention to things like this. It is not your duty to validate the HB on things she's insecure about. It DLVs.
