The problem is that we are on a pretty much friend to friend basis and get along well on a "professional" level in terms of projects and other school related topics. You wont be classmates forever. Just figure out if you want to date her while you are still classmates or wait till your class ends. You can do either depending on what you are most comfortable with. So the approach depends on which you prefer:
Option 1: Date her now.
I suggest flirting. Next class or project you have tell her how nice her hair looks today. Big smile. Be subtle yet obvious. See how she responds to that. Do it a few times over a few days. If you come out of no where she will be spooked.. so do it gradually. So after a week or so of flirting... approach her after class and ask her if she is interested in studying with you. Tell her you need help studying for a test. If she is feeling you she will do it. Then escalate accordingly.
Option 2: After class finishes.
Same approach as option one... only with different timing. Start flirting with her now.. but don't take action until the last week of class before final exams. Tell her you want to study for the finals with her. Escalate accordingly.
