So today I tried to be more social. Not too hard since I'm in college really, so that's always a topic of conversation. Talked to a girl on the bus, started with simply how's it going and asked her why she was in this certain part of town when her college (she was wearing a sweatshirt with it's name) is on the other side of town.

The next girl was working at an entertainment store. I was standing by a row of horror movies when we was putting movies back and I just asked her if she's seen any of these.

Both convos went pretty much similar. What school do you go to, what's your major, and a few other minor things like what do you do for fun (usually just "oh just hang out") and stuff like that. I feel like it's a big leap to go from stuff like that to, "Oh well I'd love to keep in touch, how can I get a hold of you?"

It was day game so it's not like I'm at a noisy club or party where I can get closer to her without being weird. I try to watch what I say so I'm DHV when I can, but how can I build attraction?

Yeah i have this same problem, i can open but from there it just gets stale, i'd also like to know the answer to this.
