she responded with saying sorry, and I said:
"your gonna have to make it up for me next time:) making me dinner sounds good to me"
and the rest of the text convo is just about her not messing up the dinner or anything like that etc.
I dont really care if she flaked or it was a legit reason, i just wanna know if I handled the situation right with my responses.

I mean that's all you can say really because it could easily be a genuine reason. As long as you don't over react it is cool. Now you shouldn't text her back at all and wait for her to message you. When she does, tell her you're busy and to text you back later. You want to convey you have a life too and that she isn't a priority
