Heey guys,

I need some help on this one. I met this very cute girl about a year ago. I dont see her that often ( gues 5 times last year) bus sometimes we chat on live messenger. chatting on the computer is not such a problem, but in reallife it's a lot more difficult because she is very shy. (I'm an introvert myself but made some good improvements ;) ) It's quite hard to conversate if some gives very short answers and speaks at low volume. I run out of subjects very fast if she does not participate in the conversation. (again: we don't have this problem on MSN, so it's not that she doesn't want to talk to me ;) )

she's comming with me and my friends to a concert in a few weeks. (must have done something right to make that happen ;))
Now my question is: Do you guys have some advise to make her more relaxed and comfortable (also with my friends around and stuf) and how to handle this kind of girl in general?

Thanx a lot ;)

I would try light, casual kino but don't make it obvious you like her. Try to get her to talk about the music, the band, the event, her other friends, anything. Build rapport.

I don't recommend this, but alcohol may help. I'm not saying 10 shots, but maybe a couple beers over the course of 3-4 hours will help relax her.

I agree with Brawndo... Alcohol is like social lubricant, regardless if your trying to get to know a girl better or just meeting new friends and breaking down those barriers.

Also if you feel comfortable it will rub off on her, try not to think about having nothing to say. If your asking her questions, aim for question that she cant respond with closed answers.
Closed would be like asking "how was work?" or "did you like that band" she can answer this with "good" or "yes/no" if she is the shy type.
Better questions are "when did you first start listening to this band?" or "how did you start working for XYZ company?"

Once she gets used to opening up she might talk to you more.

Or alternatively, you could front her about her being shy and ask why she is so chatty on messenger but quiet in real life, even turn it into a joke "gee your quiet tonight, I normally cant shut you up online!!" *nudge in the arm* If she is laughing she might relax a little bit more too.

Hope this helps =)

Cheers
Creamy

Try having inside jokes! they will help bring conversation out. I dont know if someone has already said this, but this will sure help.
