Hello everyone. I am a beginner and I have no problem approaching.
However, after the opener the conversation gets "stuck". I usually approach and say something like "“Hey, I know this is really random but I noticed you and I thought you were really cute, so I wanted to come meet you, I’m John". But then I have no clue what to say. What do you guys say after your openers (to make it not awkward)? Specifically, for day game(mall, college, grocery store, etc). Any advice is appreciated. When she's in a group and I'm stuck, my favorite line is simply "how do you guys know each other?" It easily leads into conversation:
-"Highschool!"
-"Cool, which highschool did you guys goto?"
-"Blah"
-"Ya I had a friend who went there..(or something like this)"

Drawbacks are it doesn't create any attraction, so you may want to save it for when you want to build comfort. But it is always there if you are stuck.

However if you are day gaming, your HB will probably be by herself. My approach would be to ask her what she's doing/shopping for/(situational). If you get stuck my suggestion would be to fish for more interesting topics of conversation with standard questions like:
-"Where are you from?"
-"Where do you work?"
-"Where are you going to school?"

None of these questions in themselves would be very interesting to her but hopefully you will be able to find a "hook point" in one of her answers.

Once you hook her by finding out you live in the same neighborhood/ have mutual friends/ both love sushi/ both need new clothes, and talk about it, you can just assume normal conversation and change the subject to literally anything.

Smooth sailing from there.

Thanks for the advice. It seems I need to develop some transitions from my opener. Problem is, I dont have any really interesting stories. I tend to fall into the trap of using all interview Qstns and therefore loose attraction.

What helped me alot in not getting trapped by boring interview questions was making specific answers/routines that would always get a laugh or be interesting. So when I ask a girl Where are you from? I say the exact same thing:
Me:Where are you from?
Her:New Mexico
Me:Oh really...my friend Ashley is taking me there next month to visit her family...whats cool in New Mexico?
Her: Clubs...blah blah
Me: Ok cool...here's what...I want you to quit your job I will double your salary...You'll come along and be our New Mexican tour guide...blah blah...you get the idea...

Another example is whenever a girl says her name is I tease her by saying that I once knew a girl named whatever who was trouble or fun or interesting (depends on the girl and the situation) That way I can go into a story, or qualify her or whatever.. Hope this helps

With this "how do you guys know each other" method, I would put in something like

"You guys seem to be best friends, have either of you ever taken the best friend test?"

"are you guys best friends?" (BLAH BLAH) "yeah i can totally tell! like you both have the same facial expressions and everything! (HB:usually laughs both of them) "see again!!"

at that point set a time constraint, and pick a target, and isolate!!
