Basically, the past 2 days I've been gaming a HB 8 through facebook. I met her briefly 2 years ago and we go to the same university. Recently she had her status saying she slipped and fell down while running.
I PM'ed her on face book saying in response to her status
Me: "I thought I saw you bust your ass earlier...looks like it hurt. That's why I run at the track : ). (Didn't actually see her).
Her: "lol, where did you think you saw me bust my ass?"
Me: " Yesterday morning while along such and such street on my way to campus, at least she looked a lot like you" (educated guess since I know of a slippery road that I see lots of chicks run on early in the morning. My original plan was for me to guess wrong and take it from there that she's covering it up ect.)
Her: "haha lol yeah that was most likely me in that case..the epitomy of grace."
Me: "lol I've had my share of wipe outs many of which pale in comparison. However I don't think I've failed quite that bad while just running either. Anyway..I'm planning on organizing another hike once it gets warmer out and already have a few recruits. Since it's hard to fail at that...I think, your welcome to join (similar to the one I met her on).
P.S. "epitomy" is spelled epitome
Her: I attribute my fall to the fact that my right foot skidded on some slick gravel (left over from the stuff used to clear the roads of ice). I do not consider it a failure at running, especially since things such as this happen routinely to people running 8+ miles a day. Though I certainly admit that is is unfortunate.
I do not only attempt things that are hard to fail at. There is no sense of accomplishment there.
P.S. "your" is used incorrectly. The correct usage would be that of the contraction "you're"
How do I respond to that?
So far so good but she didn't acknowledge my invite, but she surely seems to be trying to qualify herself.
Any suggestions?
