comes in to my work. I work a part time job at a coffee place. There is a woman that comes in that I've been working on. It's been slow, seeing as I can only throw a few minutes of game at her everytime she comes in.

Today, she comes in, I'm the one making the drinks, and I look over and see her at the register, so I greet her and ask what's up. Now normally, when she's waiting for me to make her drink, she'll stand by the counter and chat with me while I work. Today, she sat down. I treated it like it was a shit test and ignored it, didn't even look over at her.

When she noticed this, she came up and chatted with me. I think that was a good way to handle it, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about the alternative way to handle it I came up with.

Instead of just ignoring the fact that she sat down, would it be needy or a "shit test fail" to say something like "don't be coy, get over here and talk to me"?

I wouldn't say that unless you knew she liked you. Why don't you have a converstation with her first?

Just because you think she is good looking and friendly towards you doesn't mean she likes you. Maybe her bodylanguange is telling you different things, or maybe your just a desperate guy imagining she is playing coy when she could give a fuck about you.

Having a real conversation is the hard part. I usually only have a few minutes to talk to her while I'm working. I had a short 10 minute conversation with her once while I just happened to be on break when she came in. I had to end it to go back to work. I wouldn't say she "likes" me, but she throws IOIs at me while were talking. She always holds good eye contact, plays with her hair, if I don't say anything she keeps talking. stuff like that.
