OK, I think I've kinda stumbled onto some kino escalation that's very authentic to me. I'm a musician, and look the part, so women often ask me if I'm a musician. I answer yes, they ask what I play, I tell them bass, drums, sing, guitar, song-write, etc. I"m working on my voice right now (and making great progress on my head voice...I've gone for about a 1.75 octave vocal range to about a 3 octave vocal range...I'm particularly good at singing high gritty stuff, like AC/DC, Slaughter, Def Leppard, etc.). So anyway, I lead the conversation to singing, and say something like "well, let me give you a sample", grab the woman by the hand, guide her out of her seat, and slow-dance with her while I sing something quietly in her ear (usually something like Journey's "Lights", since that's an easy one to sing quietly, has quite romantic lyrics, etc.). I'm doing this somewhere not too loud, like a bar where folks are just hanging out and there's no one else dancing, etc. It seems to embarrass the woman a little (she knows everyone's looking at us), she's blushing and going "never done this before". LOL. I think the blushing is good...she's feeling a little sheepish and like she's a spectacle, it's stirring up some emotions (that's gotta be good, right?) I probably should add a little teasing to it..."Awwww, you're blushing, did I embarrass you?" LOL.

The thing that reminded of this was that once years ago back in college, my GF and I were going to a movie, and before the movie a slow song we both really liked was playing on the sound system. I just grabbed her by the hand, led her down to the flat area in front of the screen, and we slow-danced to the song. After we finished, everyone in the theatre applauded quite loudly. She was cherry-red from blushing. LOL. I'm glad I pulled this out of my long lost memories...LOL.

Anyway, I've done this about twice recently...both women reacted the same way, and it's a very authentic thing for me to do (and I think congruent is quite important, women pick up on it). It hasn't really gotten me anywhere substantial yet, but I'll keep using this, especially since it's something quite different to most women and it obviously pushes some emotional buttons. I think it also quite clearly demonstrates my self-assurance to everyone in the room (not just her), which is definitely good as well.

Cheers,
Gruuve
