I met an HB10 on a bench by the beach one day and we've been out on a couple of days. Initially I could tell she was attracted to me but things have been going down hill. I've been trying the cocky funny shit but most of the time not having much success and I think it might be a difference in sense of humor between England and Germany.

As a Dutchman, I believe I'm qualified to give you some advice on this. I know english humor well through television, and I visit Germany regularly so...

Try to avoid any humor that is denigrating; so no sarcasm! Germans usually don't like that. Never make a racist commment or a comment about the war or something like that.

Also try to see what kind of jokes they are making, and make sure you laugh at them! even if you don't like them. Try to discuss a funny subject that they brought up and then try making it funnier.

English humor is very liberal; they like to shock. Perhaps the best example is John Cleese in Fawlty Towers: the Germans. Try and get some inspiration for that about the problem. I'm sure it will give you a good laugh! haha

Great advice, thanks. Unfortunately it looks like I've already blown it with this girl. Wondered into the dreaded friend zone and I doubt I can pull myself out of it. Any advice would be cool.

OK so I met up with the German girl on Friday and we planned to do some touristy things in town and then go off on the Monday on a 10 day camping trip. After this she then texted me to ask if she could change the plan and go off for the weekend to a friends invite in another city. I think this was another guy but didn't get angry about it and said that would be ok. I didn't want her to resent me and it also gave me some time to sort a few things out. But I have been thinking, is this an AFC thing to do? Letting her go off with some other guy for the weekend. I mean I do hardly know the girl and we are going to be alone in a tent together very soon!

The other problem is I don't get many IOI's. She talks really quickly and doesn't look at me very often although when she does I can tell there's attraction there as we hold the look into each other's eyes and mouth! hahaha. Hardly any kino either unless I give her an excuse like talking about my jewellery.

I need to up the stakes before I leave the country in a couple of weeks so she has some great memories and maybe we can meet up somewhere else in the future.
