We've been good friends for a while but never really see each other we usually talk online or on text. I always joke with her about how we should have sex or should date and stuff and she usually just laughs. Last year she even told me that she was thinking about inviting me over to have sex with her because she was tired of being a virgin, unfortunately this never happened. I recently asked her to see a movie with me and she said yes. Only problem is idk how she looks at it. I'm looking at this as a date and maybe something can happen from it. She may just think its casually seeing a movie with a friend. Should I tell her my intentions? Or should I just treat it like a date with any other girl

She should already know your intentions.

I would say : she sees it ,as what you're going to make out of it ..
If you're going in like a friend , she will notice and probably friendzone you.

If you make a date out of it.. It's a date!
She will probably shit test you: "like is this a date? Or aren't we just friends?.

If she doesn't ask ,your in anyway..

If she does ask reply with something open like: " it's all fun and games "or "is it?" And quickly move to another topic.
You can even neg her by saying : I thought you were adventurous ? Let me surprise you
