Hi guys, first post for a while, can you help?

After my initial (Day Game) approach it is not uncommon for me not to get an instant come back from the girl so I quickly move into transition and attraction, but even using open questions the answers I am getting back from her are normally short and to the point. I am not great at instant responses to these answers, how much can you get from somebody saying they are a secretary, accountant e.t.c. maybe one or two things? So to stop following a question with another question I try to talk about what I know. So if we are talking about work, I try to talk about my work and career. I try and make it interesting, showing value and passion but am worried that I am talking about myself too much! Sometimes the set goes forward and she starts to contribute more to the conversation but other times not.

Am I talking too much about myself? Is there something else I could say during the early part of the set to draw her into a conversation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
