Was hanging out with a group of girls from class earlier in the day. Two of them half invited me to a bar later. Here's the text exchange between me and the girl I like. I K-closed her a month ago, when we were at an out of town conference (she was living there at the time).

HB: sorry just got to my phone. It was alright (12:34am)

ME: i was gonna head down, but got distracted. so u guys already left? (12:39am)
HB: what distracted ya? (12:40am)
ME: was talking to some friends from back home. Making plans for some trouble. The usual (12:43am)
HB: I love trouble (12:44am)
ME: well that must explain why you like me so much : ) (12:46am)
HB: Har Har Har I never said that (12:47am)
HB: Sorry I was in a bad mood earlier (12:47am)
ME: Yeh, I thought you were going to throw down. You should be happy. (12:50)
HB: Major issues with my ex (12:51)
ME: lame (I meant this is as "lame, you're talking about your ex." she obviously misinterpreted)
HB: blah, blah, blah he did this blah blah blah (12:53)
ME: well you could accuse him of being a child molester, that always works (1:00a
HB I just want him to disappear (1:01am)
HB:I really dislike him (1:12am)
HB: either you're ignoring me or you fell asleep (1:26am)

so my questions (1 overall rate my text game and 2) did I do a good job avoiding the ex boyfriend topic?

Well do you think you did a good job? The girl spoke about her. The best part of that was reading the end when she asked if you are ignoring her made me laugh:P

see if that would get a laugh if not just end it like you did

Maybe try and see if shell continue the party at your place, say you missed out on the fun and should help out...

Otherwise I say good job 7/10 cause you didnt get her back home, and you didn't get anything out of it, but you were witty and definitely on your toes.

Thanks for the input. I felt like I did okay. But, I'm new pua.

On a side note, I feel this girl is hard to crack (despite K-closing before) - she's really popular and has like 15 best friends. So she's hard to isolate. It's probably why I'm so attracted to her. She's a challenge.

Any tips on dealing with girls that have a million friends (always doing shit with other people, etc.).

Offer more than her millions of friends can... you have to be the best option, the most fun, the most unusual.
