This is the first time I've been friend zoned.

Long story short. Know her a year, liked her 6months. all classes together at uni so a friendship just happened over time. I find out she has been single a month now.

dhv - she always negs me about how all girls love me, and how I'm attractive and "perfect". Good Kino. not much at uni though - only in a bar group setting. But she gives me all her attention/affection when she drinks, not to other guys.

so she didn't even tell me she was single (found out from mutual friend)... should I read into that?

I was thinking of saying this too her next time we were hanging out.

me - "My 'friend' needs some girl advice and I'm not sure what to tell him... can you help me out?"

her, obviously - "yeah sure what?"

me - "cool, he goes to (different uni name), and there is this girl he is friends with in his class that he kinda likes but he isn't really sure yet. You see, he just found out she broke up with her bf and he wants to try and get to know her a little better - Maybe ask her out, just the two of them and see how it goes. But he doesn't know how she feels. see, he doesn't want to make it awkward since they have so many classes together... but he also doesn't want to regret not trying, you know?"

so... what should he do? should he ask her out?"

Bad idea? good idea?

if not that I could say something like -

"we should go get a drink after class next week, just the two of us."

I don't know, we only have 6 weeks left till we never have classes together again so I've got nothing to lose. I haven't built up that strong of a friendship with her so I am not really too fixed into that friendship, but I am having A LOT of trouble reading her.
