So I'm talking to this girl about movies and music SPAM but I want to transition into something deeper, maybe talk about what she's passionate about and I need a smooth way to do it. The transition might involve a bit of negging but not necessarily. Anyone have any ideas?

There is no transition needed. Change subject. For example, you're talking about movies and then you ask her, "What are your biggest passions in life?"
