So I met this girl today while eating at a campus lunch dining hall, walked up to her and asked her to sit with her. Long story short, I got her number and pulled a complete afc move. I texted her within an hour of meeting her saying it was nice to meet her. She didn't respond, but I wan2 get this girl on a date. I was thinking wait 4-6 days, then try calling her to go get a quick bite to eat? any opinions?

Yeah, although I do thinnk texting girls the same day you meet them is usually a good idea, texting one hour later is a little too quick and needy and also saying "it was nice meeting you" is definitley not the best text in the world. Next time wait between 2 and 4 hours after meeting her and text her something like:

"Make or break question: smores or cheez-its?" (you can also do a make or break question about something that you guys actually talked about in your initial convo)
OR
"Hey *nickname*, you're adorable and you seemed really cool, but if you turn out to be a psycho murderer or something, I'll be pissed!" (by the way, I usually give girls nicknames when I put their number in my phone, so even if I don't give them my number, they know exactly who it is when I first text them)

But, to answer your question, don't wait 4 to 6 days, just wait until tomorrow or the day after that at the very latest and text her again. You can use one of the above texts.. and then if you can get a little texting back and forth going on, call her a few days after that and set up a date
