Your HB9 ex probably put you down quite bad if you split up in a bad way.
If HB10 asks you about her remember: she already knows the answer to her question.

The way to DHV this situation is to not put your ex down at all, in fact build her up by saying how lovely she was and attribute some attractive traits that you think HB10 wished she had. Then say; you didn't wish to split up with your ex but she just became too needy and it was upsetting for you to do so but it was the best for both of you to split up.
