this happens to me a lot. I'll open an all women 3 set. Then, i'll go into a story with dhv spikes while ignoring the target. I usually don't neg yet because i'm still having problems with nerves and I end coming across as insulting. The only problem is, when i'm addressing the group an obstacle starts going kino and asking me all these questions. Then like clockwork her 2 friends including the target leave us in isolation. This is the most irritating thing, I don't really know what I should do in this situation, should I keep being friendly to the obstacle until she reunites me with her friends?, should I turn my attention to the other obstacle as soon as I get too much kino from this one? Often times this like happens super quickly, within a couple minutes of the set.

I was thinking of just politely executing the set then coming back when reunited but once again the same obstacle goes kino. I don't have a wing because all my friends are too narrow minded to give this stuff a try.

It sounds to me as though you shouldn't be ignoring your target. Try doing the same things you do to the obstacle to the target instead.

Yeah I think that you might be actually driving the target away by over negging her or not really letting her know you're joking.

Set you hand on her forearm laugh and say something like Im just joking babe... then lay off the negs for a minute and build rapport. Neg her a little but in a teasing way...Negging to me sounds like your talking to a snobby-ass supermodel who needs to be put in her place. If its just a cute girl whos a sweetheart you just gotta tease her...and she will actually get the hint you like her by this way. Do it once and wink at her.

This certain neg as gotten me girls without even literally trying at all. It throws the girl off her game, at least around here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA (to be exact).

Ive said this, been called a jerk by a friend who was a chick sitting next to me in front of the target. Then we chatted for a minute or two...target walked away then came back and said she doesnt do this...gave me her number and smacked my ass...needless to say the table I was with was in shock because like your friends most of my guy friends are also VERY narrow minded.

Remember: She teases you '' Aw thats ok your not (even) my type anyway'' (Said in a careless tone with an added shrug).

I don't neg at all usually. The things I do on the obstacles isn't much more than an opener and a routine, story ussually... I can try addressing the target directly but i'm afraid to convey too much interest... usually this I receive like zero IOI's from the target, but right away are receiving strong IOI's from the obstacles.
I was thinking I could do a compliance test on the target and if she complies then start addressing her.

also could I maybe use negative compliance on the obstacles to train them not to IOI me?

In my experience shy girls are easier because they feel rejected a lot, because guys lose interest in them and stop chasing them due their shy behavior.
