Christmas Party tomorrow night and I have recruited an eager wing at work.

I am going to his place before the party to discuss our game. It will be in a public location with other companies so I am hoping there will be plenty of sets to open.

I have also been working on two girls at work.

One I have built up rapport really well, dropped some negs, got some good IOI's back eg. I dressed as Santa and she was very keen to sit on my knee for a picture, which I allowed but with apathy. (Is this AFC of me?). I think my chances are good and should be on for a Kiss Close, maybe an F Close if things go well.

The second girl is probably a HB 8 or 9. She is quite new so I have done a lot of work negging her and showing disinterest, being careful to damage control and not come across as a complete jerk while at the same making it clear I am not interested in her, she started a conversation with me at lunch as I was reading about NLP and she asked what it was. I told her it was to do with psychology and she told me about a test she had done online. I said I did not have time to do so just then because I was reading and about to finish lunch and that if I had time at the party she should ask me about the Forest Test (like the Cube but I have known it for years so easier for me to work with) she said she would like that. Then earlier she asked if we were friends (IOI?), I told her that we were not as I expect my friends to add value to my life and there was a possibility if I got to know her a bit better.

Some guidance as to how to proceed tomorrow night would be useful. Girl 1 has just changed location so no messy work thing and there is a good chance I will be changing location quite soon so no qualms about this with girl 2.

Should I play them off of each other for my attention? There will be other girls there from work who are good friends who I can use as unwitting wings as well as the male friend.

Also as I am quite a confident and good humoured person I was thinking of wearing my Santa outfit as a festive form of peacocking and, just in case, I plan to wear my normal clothing underneath.

Ended up kiss closing girl 1 but I think I overkilled the negs with girl 2.

As I said she is quite new, so I drew the fun to me while at the same time negging her and paying attention to others. I think she ended up feeling a bit isolated so left early - bummer.

Damage control tips would be useful at this point.

Fuck man haha that is rough as. You could have said "not yet but I'll give you a chance" or something, jesus. Don't take yourself so seriously, you're going to give the poor girl a complex. I honestly think you should apologize to her. "Hey sorry if I made you feel a bit uneasy the other night, I'm used to teasing X so much but I don't think you were feeling the love" or something.

Seriously man she's a new girl at work make her feel welcome, god damn.

I think I had negged her just about right at work. At the beginning of the night she said she was unsure whether to drink and get a taxi home or just drive herself back.

I said I was headed that way and she jumped at the chance for me to drive her home, the mistake I made was after that. I continued to neg her and show a lack of interest when I think I should have capitalised on the interest.

She emailed me today, turns out she left early to meet with her ex. Ah well I am sure all is not lost, there's always tomorrow at work!
