I number closed a girl about a month ago and have been texting with her for pretty much 4 weeks now. Things are complicated by the fact that we both work 70+ hours a week this time of the year and have yet to hang out due to availability issues (she is a campaign advisor for an election and I am an established touring rock musician). So the interaction has basically come down to texting through out the course of the day. However in an effort to not seem too available (and end up in the FZ) every so often I strategically do not responded to texts only to have her try to reach out to me again. After a handful on these trials its pretty clear that she wants to talk to me aka SHE TEXTS ME WHEN I DO NOT TEXT HER. Which, I believe, is a good sign.

Note: This is not a case of Oneitis because I have during the course of this whole time continued to game as usual. However, basically this girl seems pretty cool and is potential girlfriend material that I need to see through.

Now my dilemma is trying to determine, at this point, what is my best bet for trying to get into the hangout and beyond phase. And how to avoid that friend zone.

Should I try to escilate into talking on the phone?
Am I already in the friend zone?

After texting for so long, you might just be a texting buddy to her, someone to pass the time and who pays attention to her. Texting this much without physical or voice contact usually puts you in a bad spot, but I say you should try to get her on the phone regardless. If you do get her on the phone, please do not talk to her for another month without meeting up. You need to get her to meet you and meet you soon. You have already been texting for a long time so the most work you'll have to do might involve scheduling.

Suggest a day to hang out briefly (hour or less), if she's not available, find out when she is and go from there.
