Here is a situation with my girlfriend.

She just got back from a week long vacation, we didn't really talk at all. She gets back tonight and was at the airport and texting me that she was dieng, basically really sick. I called her up to see how she was doing.

We talked for a little bit but I honestly could not hear a word she was saying. Her voice was ridiculously hoarse and I couldn't understand her. Plus she was in the airport and I was with some buddies so I decided to tell her that I hope she feels better and I will talk to her later.

After I said this, she got PISSED. She was like Oh, Ok whatever, I thought you might want to hear about my week. I told her that I did want to hear about her week and lets talk about it.

She said no, no it's fine, you know the game women play and pull this shit.

I wasn't interested in supplicating any further so I just said Alright and we hung up.

Then I called her back when I was back at my place and could actually hear but she didn't answer and clearly is upset. I sent her a text saying "Hoarse or not, I still liked hearing your voice again, I'm going 2 work out." Then I went and worked out.

I guess my question is why do girls get upset about shit like that? I know she thinks I don't care about her and her vacation but I do care. She just wanted to start shit? Just in a bad mood? All I know is that the more I don't supplicate the more upset she gets. It's hard to feel like you are raising attraction when your girlfriend is pissed off.

Insight? Is this a shit test? I'm calling her later on tonight because I do want to hear about her vacation but I'm not going to bring this up because I know it's not a big deal, I just want to learn more about women and why they react and how to deal with these situations, they come up alot.

Girl just gets pissed and shuts off.

A few points:

1) The rules of non-supplication are primarily applicable when in the dating phase that occurs briefly after meeting a girl. Relationships require an increasing level of investment from both parties to work, and occasionally that means doing something the "rules" of PUA might not approve of

2) She doesn't think you don't care. She wants you to SHOW that you do. Why? Who knows? Maybe she's feeling insecure, maybe she had a bad day, whatever. Doesn't really matter.

3) Anger is but a cunthair away from love.

Communication is key. You should have told her you couldn't hear anything she was saying and you'd call her back later. Since you left out this piece of information, it just sounded like you weren't interested, which pissed her off. And once a girl FEELS something, no amount of logic will undo it, a girl's feelings are ALWAYS right (in her mind). And 870 is totally right. This is a relationship, stop treating it like pick up, that phase is over.
