What are some "un-forseen" things that you all would recommend a bro contemplating on before moving into a new house together?

I'm in an 1yr 3 month LTR. I have never had too much problem attracting quality women and keeping them. However, as we all know, baggage that was not very noticeable in the beginning tends to unload over time.

We love each other very much, hell we actually "sarge" other couples if you will... what I mean is we go out and socialize to meet other couples who are into the things we do. (hike, art, psychology, ect..) So, she is hip with the game and we both spend large amounts of energy on unlocking our minds to make our relationship amazing. Anything from religions to science.

I am just wandering what are some things that may arise over time in living with someone (marriage is in the future) that one may not be aware of at the time of doing so. I'm all about pre-ventitive medicine. Thanks and cheers!

The biggest danger is not appreciating what you have, if you spend every day around each other. Make sure you keep other things going in your life, so that even though you live together, you still don't see each other EVERY single day.

Also along those lines, watch that you don't get too comfortable and slack off, in any area of your personality. Dangers are - getting stuck in stupid arguments that dont' matter, instead of using them as a chance to show what a high integrity person you are by rising above it. Forgetting to take the time to put some effort into doing something special together. Having sex all the time - it's good to have lots of sex, in bursts (eg. multiple times a day) but then go for periods of time where you tell her you're too tired or whatever - if she tries to coax you into it - don't give in EVERY time, but give in some times :D

Concer,

Thanks bro, we definately are doing that now. It was great to realize the power I had a few years ago when I realized that I didn't NEED sex from my girlfriend everyday. Not only did it give me a greater sense of self worth but also made the sex we had much better.

I am definately the "comfortable type". I see a lot of guys who put so much of thier lifes validation on how a woman views them that when they find a woman who plays on them with this, they become fat or just lazy. We all have seen it.

Thanks again for the foresight bro.

Like Conker says, the biggest danger really is not appreciating what you have. Its great being able to spend so much time together but make sure you both still see other friends too and have some time apart.

Also simply being able to sit in and relax, watching crap tv and enjoying each others company can actually be brilliant, as i'm sure you already know, but don't let that turn into a routine, still go and sarge couples! surprise each other every now and then, go out and do crazy things as well, this will keep up the excitement that a fresh relationship gives, with all the comfort of living together and being really close.

Watch out for little things annoying you too, stuff that was cute that you used to laugh at can suddenly become very annoying when its happening 24/7

Be open and honest with each other and im sure it will be great!!
