Hi guys,

I have been dating a girl for 7 months. Things are going great, she just has sketchy taste in her guy friends and I'm wondering if I should be concerned.

This new friend of hers is a new guy to our school. I went to lunch today with our mutual female friend. She spent some time at lunch confiding in me about what a sleaze ball this dude is. She brought this up because he has a reputation for trying to get with every girl in our program besides being involved in a relationship of his own. Now, while my two female friends are busy filling me in how he makes all the other girls uncomfortable with his constant attempts, my girlfriend has no problem hanging out with this dude, even stating that she won't stop until he crosses the lines. I have hung out with the two of them on one instance, and although nothing inappropriate was said, she held much longer contact with him that with me, and just had that, flirty face on. Maybe I am overthinking this. She did touch my arm or lean her head on me a couple of times but it felt almost like she was trying to throw me a bone so I wouldn't clue in to what was going on. Before he left, he invited her to a concert that night because he had an extra ticket. My girl replied with "Aww! I would love to go but have to go sign my lease! If I didn't have to I totally would have." When I asked her about it she got offended and reinforced that there was nothing between them and has no reason to not be friends with this guy, despite his known reputation.

Guy friend number 2 is a 50 year old cook (she is 21) she used to work with. She used to come home and tell me about how funny he is and even the stories he told her about the different sexual positions he was into and what not. At one point I was staying in another city a few hours away for the weekend. She wanted to visit and he was coming our way so she got a ride down from him. When I went to go meet him, she asked me to hold these two bags, his reply was of course some horrible joke about her tits. She laughed of course. Anyways, she ended up leaving that job and they still stay in contact. I went to go log onto facebook and she left their conversation open on the computer. It read:

Him: Hey Kiddo! How's life?
Her: (some general info about how she is working and teaching like crazy and everything is great.
Him: That's good to hear, I miss your smile in my life :)
Her: Awwwwww I miss your jokes :) We should find a time to get together for lunch and discuss Belize...if you're still interested...
Him: Yes for sure!!

Now, am I being insecure and jealous? I sure hope so that would make me feel much better. I come from a very old school house, to me it's weird how she enjoys maintaining friendships with creepy overly sexual old men, and a dude every other girl in our program can't stand because of his advances on all of them. She's great but sometimes her standards in friends really concern me or seem to signal red flags.

Thanks for listening!

Edit: I asked her if she missed her old work and if she still talks to anyone. She told me not at all. I then asked "really? but you seemed enjoy them all? Not even Nicole? Matt(the old cook)? She then told me, "oh yeah, I still talk to matt." I said "that's great! how's he doing?" she said she didn't know. I asked what they talk about, she said nothing. Going for lunch to discuss something about Belize doesn't seem like nothing though.

This is your 3rd thread on the exact same subject. What do you want to hear? She's flirty and doesnt respect you. You cant change her(bringing it up may actually get you dumped) and tbh, you dont respect yourself so you wont leave. So suck it up I guess and live with it.

Her being flirty doesn't necessarily imply she doesn't respect him.

He doesn't respect himself if her style bothers him and did nothing about it when it first started happening.

People tend to make the same threads but worded slightly differently until they get answer they would like to hear. Oneitus at its finest.
