So As the title reads, I've been dating this girl for just about 2 months and we went on this roadtrip together recently and before we fell asleep she said "I love you" and I told her that I wasn't ready to say it in return. I can only imagine how hard that was for her to hear but allow me to elaborate. I'm the type of person who thinks "loving" someone and being "IN love" with someone are 2 different things. At this point I love he girl but I don't feel in love with her. Ever since that night things have just gone down hill and now I'm having huge doubts about the relationship altogether.

If you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it.

Imagine she's your gf. Then imagine she isn't. Select the option you prefer.

Although if you want to stay with her you'll need to do some damage control on the 'i love you' stuff.

tough situation but you did the right thing. next step is to follow ocean's advice and decide if you want to be with her or not.

pro tip: next time when a girl says she loves you and you're not ready, as soon as she says it just light up with a smile and give her a passionate kiss and hold her really tight. don't mention the fact that you didn't say "i love you" back. generally she won't even ask if you love her but at the same time she'll get the point that you didn't say it. it's weird but it's worked for me in the past.
