My girlfriend rang me this morning to tell me she was stuck in the bath because there was a huge spider by the bathroom door on a towel (from the UK so not deadly, shes just scared of them)

Anyway, I was laughing and teasing her and she was laughing along with me, after the phone call she texted me calling me a dick, I assumed she was joking around because she calls me that a lot, then this happened

Her: You're such a dick!

Me: I hope the spider gets you

(She doesn't reply, notice she's posted a Facebook status saying she's stressed so I text her to ask why)

Me: How come you're stressed?

Her: Oh so now you're concerned? You don''t get it. (she's putting barely any kisses at this point)

Me: Woah okay, what?

Her: I get really bad OCD when it comes to things like Spiders. I can't even touch that towel anymore and I'm gonna have to throw it out because the spider was on it. You didn't seem to care

Me: You were joking around and laughing on the phone with me..

Her: I didn't want to cry and look stupid. I phoned you and you were no help at all.

Me: That's a little unfair, you've never told me you're that bad with spiders. You can't joke along with me and then get angry at me over something I wasn't even aware of

Her: I know, I'm sorry

I haven't replied. On the one hand she said sorry, but on the other i'm kind of pissed off she reacted that way towards me. Do I just wait for her to contact me again and then act like nothing happened?

If you actually like her and she's LTR material, just take the apology and be done with it.

you did fine, you even reacted the right way, that being said if no one was yelling at each other and it was more of matter of fact emotional answering happy sad kinda thing. then its not a big deal, she appologized cause you were right she basically just wanted comfort from you and she didnt feel she was getting it at first. the way you were rational with her the second time she understood and she got her comfort that she wanted.

dont over react on her about this she over reacted herself and even appologized for it. not alot of men would even get that from a women id take that to the bank
