Well after this last relation-shit FINALLY ended I have been reeling a bit to say the least. I really got my confidence knocked down by what I thought was a wonderful woman but it all turned out to just be a big love-bomb to get me hooked, it was all a lie.

Anyways, just to get my head right I have taken a few months off of even trying to game anyone. I have had a few drinks with some ladies but honestly the energy necessary to go through the motions is just not something I have had lately. But now I am trying to get back out there.

Anyone have any similar experiences after a bad breakup and have any advice how to get back on the horse?

Yep...sounds a lot like me last year. Split up with my ex, we then continued to bang for a bit, I treated her like any other girl I had been talking to while she wanted the boyfriend version of me.

This cycle went round 3 times whilst all the while I had a holiday in Ibiza to look forward to. Seeing all the other options I had out there put it in perspective for me and as soon as I got back I started dating as many girls as I could handle.

My ex knowing I was out there with other girls made her want me back even more and we banged again for a bit, almost got back together then she wen't weird and I ended it indefinitely, focussed on work and the gym and went on another holiday to Ibiza, where I met another chick who I eventually started dating and banged.

I would say for you, to indulge in your hobbies and interests and keep talking to girls, to the point where you don't really need one. You really should push yourself to get back on the wagon though, otherwise your confidence and skills will suffer.

I'm going through something similar right now, but my relationship ended two weeks ago so maybe it's a little fresher than yours. I've still been gaming girls, even more so now than when I was with my girlfriend since I have more time now. I haven't run into any problems with my energy levels while gaming, but I have definitely encountered those evil comparing-to-your-ex-girlfriend thoughts when meeting new women. My advice is to make sure you go out as much as possible, every weekend at the very least, and just get drunk before going out. I've found that drinking temporarily cures my thoughts about my ex, and when I'm talking to a hot girl I COMPLETELY forget about my ex. It's really true: don't chase 'em, replace 'em.

Also, one really good thing I picked up from MPUA Owen is that breakups are potentially the best time to game. This forces you to become state-independent, and that way, when you're over your breakup for good, you'll be a monster. Don't lose sight of the game, no matter how down you feel. Remember, when all else fails, the game will pick you back up.
