Just out of a relationship. Once women get there teeth in after a few months they always start with the shit testing. Now I'm pretty much a gent and would open doors, say nice comments and do general things like that which I see as mannerly.

Its happened in a few relationships now where they start shit testing saying you never open the door for me, you never compliment me, your putting on weight, you should be in a better job, you say things but you never do them.

The funny thing is they are the ones not doing what they say and not complimenting me etc...

How do you combat this? by making a joke out of it? that just makes them mad I think

a real gentleman would never allow his girl to think that making jokes like that is acceptable...you're basically a nice guy, and the proof is when you said they're testing you, usually girl think they can run over "nice guys" and expect them to have no backbone........a real gentleman is not always an asshole, imagine if some girl said that to james bond, he would make a joke which made him look like an asshole.....to combat this if she says it again all you have to do is calmly say "oh i don't do all of that? well i thought i did but to make sure i won't do it anymore"

don't ever apologize for anything, unless you are truly in the wrong and remember to have a backbone.....and don't compliment her, make her earn each compliment you give her.....

and if she ever insults you saying you put on weight then make her mad and say " well now that you mentioned it you have gained a little weight also, maybe we shouldn't go out as much".
