Here's the basic background: I started dating a girl about three months ago, and things have been going pretty great since. Right now we're long distance for the summer, but we keep in touch often and visit about every three weeks. This girl seems really into me, and I can tell that she hopes that this will become a long-term thing.

The thing is, I feel as though long distance is making me boring. To be clear, she doesn't seem bored with me -- I just feel boring. I feel as though I've lost some of the humor I brought at the beginning of the relationship. I feel like the text responses I send her aren't really that interesting. And I don't want her to lose interest down the road.

Any advice?

Should I just focus more on my own life so that I have better quality things to share with her? I don't want to be pegged as the boyfriend who is supportive but...well...unexciting. For the past few weeks, I haven't felt like the man who challenged her at the start and want to get back there.

I should also add that I visited her about a week ago and everything was great. This is really a long distance problem.

First off I am in a long distance relationship myself and can understand how you feel. My suggestion would be to be CREATIVE and do things YOU would do.... Be in the frame of "shes just along for the ride".

Now some suggestions to spice things up would be doing something you and her have both never done before. This could be as simple as going to get a couple massage together... (I actually did this bc iv never done something like that before... she loved it). Or go out of your way to really be romantic and light the candles, buy some rose peddles, and relax on your bed/tub and just spend time with her... girls love that shit... and it shows your a bit of your vulnerability (which is totally ok).

In the end just be creative... use your imagination... and actually IMPROVE yourself as a person by getting out of your comfort zone. She will see you as STRONGER for doing these kind of things and more adventurous and just FUN.
