considering LTRs or life long partners, do we already have a (scientific/evolutionary) conclusion if it's better to have a partner equal or different to our views and likings?
I mean when you are equal, you spend more time together doing equal things and hence have more time to argue and lose sexual attraction by doing too much together. On the contrary, if you "only" share the attraction towards each other and the passion at nights, you could just drift apart at some point?
I am trying to figure out if it is worth the time keeping a girl that is the total opposite of oneself.

The short answer to your question is there are no silver bullets, but science is making progress in this regard. Some personality types seek out and are happier longer with opposites, others do better with people of similar type. Dr. Helen Fisher is a leading expert on the subject.
I've found her research to be very good stuff to think about. Google her, she's everywhere these days.
