Ok so this one is meant more for comic purposes than it is for practical purposes

When you leave a job, if you want to leave on good terms with your boss, typically you will give him your two weeks notice before quitting. Is it appropriate to give a girlfriend two weeks notice before breaking up with her, or is that just completely ridiculous?
