Yes but a girl is going to take her friend's advice over her mum's. Most of the time. Parent's aren't cool, and don't know anything about sex because they're old and unnatractive. Remember how you thought when you were a kid? So you need to get on her friend's good side too.

Maybe they are a tough nut to crack but as long as you continue to be genuine and never come across like you are trying too hard to impress them, you will get through eventually I believe. Some people are just extra defensive.
