Just a quick update to this:

So after acting very indifferent to my now ex-gf, she's been trying hard to pursue me. Asking me out to the movies, telling me she misses me, etc. I would respond back politely but kept it at that.

So anyway, last week I was at a bar with my friends and she showed up by herself around 1am. From the moment she got there I could see the 'doggie dinner bowl' look in her eyes. The reminded me of when we first started dating...where I just knew she wanted me.

However, that night, we didn't talk about the relationship at all. We just had fun like old times drinking and dancing the night away. She ended up sleeping in my bed that night but I resisted the urge to have sex with her. The next morning I just kissed her on the cheek and said goodbye.

Over the next few days, the texts would continue. Please bear in mind that I didn't initiate any of these text conversations. I just responded back in a cool, relaxed manner.

On sunday, we bumped into each other at a picnic and immediately hit it off again (she showed up solo again). After a long day of drinking, we ended up at a quiet bar near my house. It's here that she finally opened up about our relationship. She said it makes her sad to think about why we ended our relationship. That she's in such a rut right now and wants to just move away. But that I'm one of the best people she's ever met in her life and that she can't bear to not have me in it. She also expressed her guilt at pushing me away and acting distant and that she's so sad over how things turned out between us. I just said that it was great while it lasted but it just wasn't the right time. She also said that she was afraid to lose me and that even though we're not together and she knows I can get other girls...that she hopes that there may be a future for us once she has her life in order but she doesn't expect me to wait. She also mentioned that a few of her 'guy friends' tried making moves on her but she rejected them all because she still only has eyes for me.

At this point we had a passionate kiss...reminded me of the first time we kissed actually. Which then eventually led to a few makeouts which then eventually led to my bed and us having mindblowing sex.

The next morning was great but also a little different. We still laughed and hung out like we always do, but didn't make out or do any 'couple' things. We made lunch together then I dropped her home on my way to work.

Not sure where I'm going with this, just wanted to fill you all in. I'm not actively trying to get her back....I still love and care for her, but I found that by just letting go and just riding it out, it's turned out amazing for me.
