You lack an understanding of what an Alpha is.
Think back to primitive man, back in hunter-gatherer societies. Presentation is a big part of the Alpha male's life; tribal leaders and chiefs alike will often adorn parts of an animal's body (presumably one they've killed) to display attributes to others (resourcefulness in studying & plotting the kill, risk taking, stamina etc..). Modern man is no different; having a well groomed cultivated look projects many things about a man. An Alpha will not dress like a slob, but will, in a sense, wear his personality. A slob will dress like a slob, as though he has little to no self worth to brush his teeth, let alone take care of himself.
It's the misreading of PUA material that I find most disconcerting. For example, guys confusing negs with insulting a girl and benig a dick in general, or, in your case, completely misunderstanding what an Alpha truly is.
