So heres the story... My girlfriend and I are together for about one year and a few months and she hates it when i pay for anything whether it is catching a movie or buying popcorn at the shop, she always wants to pay.. I told her that it would be better if we took turns to pay so I've been playing it off rather well but I would really want to know whether its a good thing if she pays all the time?? Or should I pay more often?? Or is it the best to take turns as we already are doing??

What do you guys suggest?

Call me old fashioned - but if it's your girlfriend of more than 1 year, I'd be doing most the paying.

Never discourage a girl from being generous with you. In fact, you should encourage it.

When a girl is doing nice things for you and the people around you, then she is horny for you. There's this video on this scientific study which illustrates just that. I'm just too lazy to look at my old posts right now and give you the link. But that's just the way it is.

You have a bigger problem if you're the one who's always paying or doing the nice things for her.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you sound feminine. n2thevoid asked you that because your girlfriend is taking on the man's responsibility of being the provider. And now your response to his rhetorical question screams insecure and butt hurt. You have a lot of inner game to work on.

Yep, I was pretty much thinking the same. Part of building attraction is to demonstrate that you're a secure individual in control of your emotions.

It means that she respects you and respects your hard work. Let her pay sometimes. I'd say switching off is always a good idea... You can offer every time, but if she wants to pay, let her pay. After a year, its not really a big deal.

If she invites you somewhere, she pays.

If you invite her somewhere, you pay.

If it's mutual, then do half/half or you pay one, she pays one. If it's something bigger like a vacation/travel then you both split the bill.
