Just a quick question. I have a had a few break ups in my life and while I always bounce back at some point and get back on the wagon, the one thing that really eats at me initially is why? In fact it eats at me so much that I usually have a screaming desire to talk it out, not to get back with the girl but just to find out the reasons, and yes I do sometimes push to find out. Is this normal and what the hell can I do to stop doing this because I find it debilitating for a few days/weeks and I can't say I enjoy the situation :/

It's always the same answer, you put in more effort than she did.

I think it like that: feelings start and stop. If you are not in love any more, you end a relationship. For me there is not so much sense as to the "why?" question, as I guess feelings are hard to rationalize about. Don't look back too much, just take with you the lessons you have learn't in the relationship.

Jeez dude, talk about a simple question.
Obviously, it will depend a lot on the situation. If a girl breaks up with you and its not mutual, and unless there's something seriously wrong with you (like say, you're a practicing zoophile), it will never be the same specific reason. I guess the best way to get an answer to this question on a very general level, is why do you break up with other girls? That will be a good reflection of why they break up with you. Sometimes, (I've had one just recently, its lighting on a clear day and makes absolutely no sense at all). But usually, you should be able to see it coming, and the reasons should become obvious if you think about it carefully. Normally the reasons include, like said before, you wanting it more than she does, clinging on, supplicating, trying to make it work. It gives the girl the impression that you value her above yourself, and that she can do better, so she loses interest. We do it too. It's not just women, its human nature.
