Its silly as a hard rule but not bad as a general rule. I dont mind the kids thing but far too many are of the mindset... My kids come first, Ill make lil attempt at time for you but expect you to spoil the shit out of me and just bend over backwards even tho I have kids. Sorry, I have better things to do with my time.

Its hardly worth risking becoming attached to the kids. I'm sure guidelines can be set in place to prevent such things but I'm a softy for kids.

Its a horrible thing to disqualify a girl just because she has kids

I personally would not enter a serious relationship with one because I am far from ready to be in a parental figure. My 20 year old friend is dating an older woman with a 6 year old kid who calls him dad, and he straight up told him, "Kid, I'm not your dad."

I would be more than willing to say the same thing. I've seen some fine girls with kids. I wouldn't rule them out at all.

I went on a date with a girl who had a kid before. Great make out.
I knew I would never enter an LTR with her (my desire is to become a father in two or three years, but of my own kid, not parenting some other guy's child) - but for a short-term fling I would have definitely not ruled her out. of course, I was not going to meet the child, or anything like that. but still, don't rule out the moms.. I wish I had had the time to f-close N before entering my current LTR

Not true at all! Many of those women are single mother at a young age for a reason, one my my best friends just broke up with chick who has a kid, they lived together, he was a great role model for her son, and she was a complete bitch to him! she cheated on him, and causes unnecessary drama. I remember she would always talk about how the father of her son was an asshole and a looser but when I met the guy he seemed like a good guy! I think he just got tired of her crap so he left her lol She had some serious dad issues! she also has a coupe friends who have children at a young age....what a mess.

No this chick is just a head case! he's no pua but he's also no push over, she goes through guys like water! he was her longest relationship.

That being said I think it depends on how old the women is. If its a 35 year old single mother then ok perhaps she was married before and things did not work out, but if its a 20 year old who had a kid at 17 then she probably has a bit of baggage.

You're right, in my head it was all about women with kids (30 years old at least).

This was more a mental note for myself then anything. The OP was written while i was very intoxicated thinking about an LTR, that i lived with for 6 months, and how horrible it went because i got attached to the kid.
