So, I've been dating my girl 18 months and for the past year it's been constant fighting and bickering. I think we've been to the point where we wanted to break up probably five times.

Over the past two months, it's gotten to the point where we stopped having sex and where we really didn't talk to each other much. She said that I made her feel insecure about the relationship because I wasn't putting much in.

To a degree she's right. I became complacent, but at the same time, all the fighting has just made me sick. Some of her other issues have really bothered me too.

So, we broke up last night but I had a talk with her today and we both cried it out and had the mutual understanding that this was the best thing for us right now.

I don't know though. I still love the girl, but I almost feel bad about the situation. I hate seeing her upset and it just seems that I fold whenever a woman gets overly emotional and it makes me want to go back.

What do you guys suggest?

I'm 29 and she's 23. She's ready to settle down and get married and I would like too as well, but I still enjoy going out and having fun and she really doesn't. It just really sucks because she is a great girl, but we're like two rams....we just keep butting heads.

You can't have it both ways.

Settling down and getting married and wanting your freedom to go out and "have fun".

But if you all can't get along for the first 18 months, it's doomed. Believe me, I just ended something exactly like what you described yesterday morning.

Can relate to how you feel at the moment me and my girlfriend are on the brink of braking up we keep arguing all the time for these reasons that are just soo pointless and petty they shouldn't even get to us. I am seeing her tomorrow and we will sort it out for good. 18 months is a hell of a long time letting someone into your life letting them know everything there is to know about you and you giving them your heart on a plate. It kills I've been there and I'm on my way back it's the worst place ANY man can be I have never felt pain the way I did when I broke up with my Ex. But I got allot of advice and still getting advice go out find hobbies meet new people I think that's my flaw at the moment I'm not going out as much therefore my relationship is lacking because I'm giving all my attention to her. If you need any help what so ever please Pm me.

I think once you've gotten to that point it's over. If you feel it deep in your gut, it's true.

I was at that point a couple times....and I felt like the girl was just holding on because she didn't want to be alone, but I wasn't getting what I wanted. You end up as more of an emotional talk buddy than anything else....

Stomp it out now.
