What do males get out of "relationships?" It seems like most women just want casual hookups these days anyway.

I've recently been reading 60 years of challenge material. He says men get female affection and purity out of the relationship. It's basically a trade of your freedom for female purity (her sleeping with you only, thus she must love you). I've never thought of it that way and he's on to something there. He points out that it's not about sex for guys, but about getting the affection (snuggling). If a women sleeps with other men, it's unacceptable for a guy to receive her affection - it is not pure in his mind anymore. So the trade off is: your freedom (willingness to follow her agenda - marriage, kids etc.) for her purity (she being faithful) and getting a consistent source of her affection. Interesting stuff!
