Been with my girlfriend for 18 months. I consider her to be the love of my life and whilst we're not always perfect, no way in hell would I want to lose her.
Last night we had argued, I was angry (I naturally am sometimes) and I was incredibly drunk, grinding with a girl, things got very sexual. Neck kissing, hand groping.
But I pulled away and said "this is wrong" and ran away. I cried, felt horribly guilty. But I didn't really cheat. But it was close enough for me to constantly feel like shit since. I won't be telling my GF, but I need some advice on why I feel like this and why did I do what I did ?
Thanks guys,
/Prophet

You feel guilty BECAUSE you cheated, likely by your own definition, you know you shouldn't have done what you did and you also know you would consider it cheating if your gf did it to you. If this was not the case, you would not feel guilty.
At least be honest with yourself about what is really going on in your head. Then find a way forward for dealing with it, but trust me, you can't rationalize away that nagging voice in your heart that say "you did wrong".

The_Prophet, you made a mistake (in your own eyes perhaps). The good thing is you stopped yourself from going to the point of no return. Take your lesson from it and become better for it. _________________ - Lux et Veritas -

Also, if you love this girl, don't tell her what you have done. If you do that, all you are doing is offloading your guilt to make yourself feel better. If you keep it in, you'll always remember it and it will stop you from making the mistake in the future.
However, if she asks because she knows, don't lie either.
