I don't want to sound all "this had to happen"-ish, but as long as you're a challenge, the relationship will remain interesting and a little challenging (which actually makes it interesting). What might work well for you: Don't get worked up and do anything outrageous to get her attention, let things cool down and give her some time to think. And once the matter is settled, work on improving your challenging and DHV skills.
